I DONATE to Fondation de France to help people affected by wildfires and heatwaves
As France faces record-breaking temperatures, resulting in more than 5,700 deaths in June 2026, and is currently being hit by wildfires of unprecedented scale, with nearly 98,000 hectares already burned since January 2026, the Fondation de France is launching an appeal for donations to provide support, alongside public authorities, to those affected and to the frontline responders mobilized in this crisis.
As an immediate priority, the Fondation de France will support nonprofit organizations providing assistance to communities affected by the wildfires and heatwaves, as well as frontline professionals, including healthcare workers and firefighters.
In a second phase, the Foundation will help the recovery of the hardest-hit communities, including small-scale farmers, artisans, socio-cultural organizations, and vulnerable populations. It will also strengthen its long-term efforts to prevent and reduce the risks associated with climate change.
As with every emergency appeal we launch, we will closely monitor and oversee all the projects we support to ensure that donations are used effectively and transparently.
