The IC France Foundation, under the aegis of the Fondation de France, aims, in a severely degraded economic context, to support deserving students in financial difficulty from the International College (“IC”) in Beirut, Lebanon, in their education and to their teaching at the IC. This is effected through the granting of scholarships and aid awarded following a rigorous and structured process.
The International College, created in 1891 in Smyrna and established in Lebanon from 1936, provides French-speaking education, from kindergarten, leading to the French baccalaureate, which is taken in Beirut and which is part of the common core with France. The IC has more than 3,500 students, split equally between the French and English sections. www.ic.edu.lb
